- Beirut, almost out with the old, the new is the same on many levels. The man2ousheh has options: with everything, with cheese and tomatoes as if it were a pizza, no thank you! But I love it. The falafel at Bakkar's (Bliss and Jean D'Arc) is still the same, the BESTEST. Traffic still runs on horn honking. The "DON'Ts" are suggestions like no smoking, stop signs, one way streets. New are the unmarked speed bumps.. make sure you wear a helmet LOL. The Shirwel (Lebanese style pants.. like MC Hammer's "Can't touch this" video, but in black) wears no dikkeh. It is styled to keep things cool. If you're lucky you get a beer drinking, story telling taxi driver and entertain you all the way to your destination.
